Microsoft has launched the windows 10 on 29 July 2015. They allow people to upgrade from windows 7 or 8.1 to the new windows 10 for free.
Microsoft has done this in order to get their new system installed in millions of devices around the world by the end of the year since the date that they launched it. Until now windows 10 has installed in 350 millions active devices around the world. This was one of the Microsoft's strategies to market the new system.
Microsoft has determine one year of free upgrading to windows 10 for all windows 7 and 8.1 users let to let people discover the new system and to benefit on people's feedback in order to improve windows 10 before start selling it.
Now that millions of people have installed the new system and give their feedback on it, Microsoft is responding to their feedback and views to make the system more better. Microsoft has mentioned on their official blog that people spend more time on the new system and especially in Microsoft products such as Microsoft Edge, Cortana, etc.
Now that windows 10 anniversary is very close that mean that this system will not longer be free, and that mean people will not be able after that to upgrade from old windows versions to windows 10 for free.
Microsoft has mentioned on their blog that people will still be able to get Windows 10 on a new device, but without that people will have to purchase the system for $119.
Finally, It is very important to know that there will be no free upgrade after 29 July 2016. If you already thought of upgrading to windows 10 you must do it before the end date because then you will have to purchase it for $119.
